The Stummers Union is a group of musicians for hire consisting of rotating musicians from the Hamilton area.The core of the group is Tomi Swick & Joel Guenther


Tomi Swick is a Canadian singer-songwriter from Hamilton, Ontario formerly signed to signed to Slaight Music. In February 2006, Swick’s song “A Night Like This” was released as the first single from the compilation album From the Heart. The single became a top-five radio hit in Canada.[2]

In 2006, Swick released his debut album, Stalled Out in the Doorway, which entered the chart at number 77. The singles “Everything Is Alright” and “Sorry Again” received moderate video play on Much Music and MuchMoreMusic. At the 2007 Juno Awards, Swick was awarded New Artist of the Year.Swick also contributed to two songs on the album 68 by Year of the Monkey. He wrote and performed on the song “Leaving You Behind” and covered John Lennon’s “Dear Prudence”.

His second album was released on March 27th, 2012

His third album, The Yukon Motel, was released on October 16th, 2016 on Slaight Music.[3]


Joel Guenther has been playing his eclectic style of music throughout the Hamilton/Niagara region for over 10 years. An accomplished musician and song writer, Joel has acquired a loyal following and continues to perform to audiences large and small in a wide range of venues.

Born in Brampton, Ontario, Joel comes by his talent honestly. His musical ability was fostered by his father, Ron Guenther and his step father Graeme Box who were members of the 60’s band “The Last Words”. Joel was exposed to the music business from birth and has never looked back.

Now, after a year’s stint in L.A., Joel has established himself as the area’s most versatile artist combining soul, blues, rock and pop. Constantly working and always on the move, Joel partners with other local musicians and always delivers an engaging stage performance.
